I'm Maranda Muller - jeweller, metalsmith, designer, and the hands behind every piece crafted at Metal Maiden Studios.
Located in Hout Bay, Cape Town, I create, raw, one-of-a-kind art-jewellery and lifestyle pieces inspired by nature, the mountains, the ocean, and the mysteries beneath it. The “found object” becomes the hero in many of my works, exploring the meaning of value and challenging one to think deeper about how and where we place value in all areas of our lives. Every piece is handcrafted using locally sourced, sustainable materials, with a deep respect for process and instinct.
Graduating from Ruth Prowse School of Art in 2020, I’ve since dedicated myself to making jewellery that’s captivating. When I’m not at the bench, I’m running in the mountains. As an ultra-endurance athlete,I live a life fuelled by balance, moving through nature, creating with purpose, and always drawing inspiration from my surroundings.

Heavily inspired by the ocean, nature, and raw texture, my original designs and once-off pieces are entirely unique, no mass production, no compromise and bordering on just being befok.
